As they say: ,,when life gives you lemons, ask for tequila too''.
Do ask for that tequila, if you feel so , but first, let me give you some quick reminders. After this, you might as well ask for champagne.
In the rush of life, we often forget the stuff that keeps us rolling along when all we want to do is stop. Each of us copes differently but, from my experience, these little reminders have stood the test of time, offering me the wisdom I needed the most. Maybe they can offer the same for you:
You can’t build anything without starting at the bottom.
How you fuel the fire determines the quality and duration of its glow.
Being afraid has a purpose; being brave has a bigger one.
Being brave has nothing to do with not being afraid.
Being brave almost always means that you are, in fact, afraid.
The bigger picture is always made up of smaller ones.
The truth sounds the same in a whisper as it does in a scream.
Your definition of love is the only one that matters.
The most profound learning occurs at the point of biggest despair.
Pain inspires creative change.
You are allowed to be broken.
There’s no point in wearing shoes in which you can hardly walk.
If it makes you uncomfortable, try to see it differently.
If it makes you uncomfortable more than three times, it’s not for you.
If it makes you sad even once, it’s definitely not for you.
Curiosity won’t kill you; stifling it will.
Beware of boxes, and if you find yourself inside one, get the f*ck out.
Walk away from those who demand your silence.
Trust your voice.
Listen to yourself.
Listen to what hurts you.
Listen to what heals you.
Remember to breathe big breaths, read good books and take hot baths.
Remember to keep going.
If you’ve reached the top, say “thank you.”
If you’re still climbing, say “thank you.”
If you can’t even find the goddamn mountain to climb on, say “thank you” (and keep looking).
You’re probably doing better than you think you are.
You're definetely better than you think you are.
Stay true to yourself and take no sh*t, but in doing this do no harm to others.
